About the role

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. You will support patients, visitors, and staff through clear communication and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and applicable armed post procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of individuals entering and leaving the location.
  • Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership, Allied Universal management, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.

Requirements

  • At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
