Security Officer Armed Patrol

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Security Officer in Elizabethtown, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, clear communication, and professional response to security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate departments or locations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities, and maintain professional communication with healthcare staff, patients, visitors, and responding public service agencies.

Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience.
• Loss prevention experience.
• Handcuffing certification.
• Customer service experience.

Pay

$17.51 / hour

• Wednesday: 06:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thursday: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Friday: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Saturday: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
