Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. This part-time role allows you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and/or foot patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents at a busy retail location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with store leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and restricted spaces for security-related concerns, assisting with access control, loss prevention support, and incident reporting.
• Support closing and opening activities, crowd management, and customer assistance during peak business periods, special events, and/or deliveries while maintaining a professional presence.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification required in Texas.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Pay

$17.25 / hour

• Daytime
• Monday: 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Sunday: 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
