Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the grocery retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential loss-prevention concerns, and report observations to appropriate site contacts.
- Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal armed-post procedures.
Requirements
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
