Security Officer Armed Healthcare Access Operations

About the Role

As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to access-control needs. This is a part-time position offering flexibility to build a schedule that works for you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to healthcare facilities, restricted areas, and designated entry points in accordance with site requirements.
• Verify visitor, contractor, and staff authorization as required; maintain access records and report discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
