Security Officer Armed - Healthcare

About the Role

As an Armed Security Officer at a healthcare location in Columbia, SC, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned healthcare facility areas, including entrances, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and access-related questions while maintaining a professional and service-oriented presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and completed patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$18.78 / Hour

• Wednesday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thursday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Friday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
