Security Officer - Armed Full Time

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Driver Security Officer in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, professional communication, and responding to security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrol activities, incidents, and security-related observations.

Requirements

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$22.00 / Hour

• Thursday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Friday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
