About the role
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Butlerville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. This driving post offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorizations, and visitor requirements in accordance with site policies.
- Maintain required reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
