Security Officer Armed Experienced Full Time Weekdays

About the role

As a Security Officer Armed Licensed Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public at a government administrative location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies, maintaining a professional and courteous presence.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and noteworthy observations accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
