Security Officer Armed Driving Patrol

About the role

As an Armed Driving Patrol Security Officer in Brownsville, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, and remain visible to deter security-related incidents at a busy retail location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail grocery location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and merchandise locations to support loss prevention efforts and maintain order.
• Assist with access control, de-escalation, and coordination with store leadership and/or first responders during medical, fire, or other emergency-related events.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
