As an Armed Security Officer in an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, perimeter areas, parking areas, and restricted locations, reporting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry into controlled areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Carry and maintain authorized duty equipment in accordance with Allied Universal, client-site, and applicable legal requirements.

Requirements

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
