About the role

As an Armed Security Officer Driver Response in Morganton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. This role involves conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, responding to security-related concerns, and providing professional customer service and communication. This driving position supports a government corrections location and emphasizes integrity, reliability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify authorization as required, and document visitor activity, incidents, and unusual conditions in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain awareness of changing conditions and communicate observations, concerns, and incident information to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

$21.50 per hour
