What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, movement, and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and document unusual activity, incidents, and/or observations in required reports.
• Support site personnel and public agencies during emergencies, transports, escorts, and/or other security-related operations as directed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
