Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Sunrise, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed and driving officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter incidents, and support security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide outstanding customer service and communication while working as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

• DayTime: Mon 09:00 AM - 09:00 PM, Fri 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM, Sat 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM, Sun 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response actions at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and/or permissions in accordance with site policies and applicable post orders.
• Support public-facing operations by giving directions, assisting with routine inquiries, and communicating clearly with supervisors, local authorities, and/or onsite personnel during security-related events.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
