About the role
As an Armed Driver Patrol Security Officer in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. This part-time role allows you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving post combines customer service, clear communication, and professional judgment while supporting a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations through established channels.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and applicable procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, and daily activities.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
- Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

- Tuesday: 01:00 PM - 07:00 PM
- Wednesday: 01:00 PM - 07:00 PM
- Thursday: 01:00 PM - 07:00 PM
