Security Officer Armed Clearance Required Full Time

About the role
As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location in Arlington, VA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Perform armed patrols of facilities, aircraft-related areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, conducting regular and random inspections to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, control entry and exit of authorized personnel and vehicles, and maintain awareness of restricted areas and controlled assets.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
- Prepare accurate reports, maintain required documentation, and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site requirements.
Requirements
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
- Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$28.33 / Hour

- Day shift: 11:59 PM - 08:00 AM
- Days: Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
