Security Officer Armed Clearance Required Full Time

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location in Arlington, VA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Perform armed patrols of facilities, aircraft-related areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, conducting regular and random inspections to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, control entry and exit of authorized personnel and vehicles, and maintain awareness of restricted areas and controlled assets.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate reports, maintain required documentation, and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site requirements.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$28.33 / Hour

• Days: Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
