About the Role

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Clearance Required Entry Screening in Culpeper, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor access control points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. This driving post also calls for clear communication, professional customer service, and sound judgment in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and entry documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Operate access-control systems and maintain accurate logs of personnel, visitors, deliveries, and other authorized entries and exits.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
