About the role
As an Armed Access Control Officer at a transportation location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and personnel, and support a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points at a transportation location, verify credentials and/or authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports related to access activity, incidents, policy violations, and other security-related observations.
Requirements
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience, or possess a college degree.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
- Have customer service experience (preferred).
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$18.50 / Hour

- Tuesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
