About the role

As an Armed Security Officer Access Control in Adelanto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional customer service. You will maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, access records, and incident documentation; communicate access concerns and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, controlled areas, the business, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• At least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a California Weapons Permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
