The Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position provides a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career with the industry leader. As an Armed Security Officer – Access Control Point in Elmendorf, TX, this role offers reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): Hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as a reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to the fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time one week and full‑time the next, with the option to scale back as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, visitors, and the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at utility facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility operations areas, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Monitor and control access to restricted utility locations by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and following site‑specific entry procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Security License in Texas.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations; may be required prior to employment.
