About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will work in a retail and mall location, providing security services including monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, responding to incidents, and supporting loss prevention awareness.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and document security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual conditions.
- Support loss prevention awareness by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and coordinating with local law enforcement and/or site leadership as needed.
Requirements
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or armed security experience.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licenses required may vary based on state and/or local laws and regulations.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Experience in law enforcement, military, or armed security is preferred.
- Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License.

- Knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols.

Pay
$21.22 per hour.
Schedule
Daytime shifts available, including Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM and Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM.
