About the role
As a Security Officer Airport Screener in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in logistics and distribution environments. This part-time role allows you to build a flexible schedule and explore new opportunities using our Claim a Shift platform. You will support a secure environment by screening people, vehicles, and materials, monitoring access, and reporting security concerns while providing professional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
- Screen packages, shipments, and personnel entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures; identify and report prohibited items, irregularities, and suspicious activity.
- Verify identification, credentials, and authorized access for employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors while maintaining accurate screening and visitor records.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, notifying appropriate contacts and emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, facility entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations; report security concerns and deter unauthorized access.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience.
- Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located (this is a driving position).
- At least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Licensing requirements vary by state and locality and may be required prior to employment.
Pay
$21.89 per hour.
Schedule
- Part-time, daytime shifts:
- Friday: 06:00 AM – 02:30 PM
- Saturday: 06:00 AM – 02:30 PM
- Sunday: 06:00 AM – 02:30 PM
