As a Security Officer Screener in Carson, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

In this role, you will help monitor access points, screen people and/or items, support routine patrol activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication at a busy logistics and distribution location. You will help promote a secure environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while delivering reliable, innovative, and security-related support each day.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, personal belongings, and/or authorized items entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and client guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document screening activity, irregularities, and/or policy violations with clear and accurate reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity and support security-related operations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
