About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a leading automotive location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional customer service. This driving position offers the opportunity to remain visible, help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through clear communication and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
- Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Help to deter unauthorized access by observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, challenging individuals when appropriate, and reporting unusual activity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$17.50 / Hour

- Tuesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Wednesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Thursday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Sunday: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
