Security Officer Access Check Driver
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will help manage entry activity, monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors, and maintain required logs and/or documentation for authorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
- Support emergency response activities, badge and key control processes, and other post orders as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to respond calmly and solve problems effectively.
- Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Basic computer literacy.
