Security Officer - Access Specialist

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, helping to monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support orderly site access for employees, visitors, and deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with post orders and client guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including access points, trailer yards, loading areas, and perimeter zones, while reporting security-related concerns and unusual conditions.

Requirements

• A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
