Security Officer Access Specialist

As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Meridian, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and credential checkpoints to help control site access, verify authorization, and report unusual or unauthorized activity through established security-related procedures.
- Respond to incidents, delivery issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, warehouse areas, loading zones, parking areas, and perimeter, noting maintenance concerns, access issues, and other security-related conditions.
Requirements
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles.
- Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
