Security Officer Access Screening
About the role
As a Security Officer Screening Representative in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as a Screener, helping support a secure workplace through screening activities, monitoring assigned areas, and visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen individuals, packages, bags, and/or personal items entering or leaving the location in accordance with site procedures and post instructions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document screening activity, incidents, and unusual conditions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting access issues, policy concerns, and other security-related observations.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
