Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Screening in Gardner, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and documenting security-related events according to post guidelines.
  • Maintain visibility to help support authorized access and deter unauthorized entry within the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual conditions, equipment issues, and security-related concerns that may need follow-up.
  • Communicate with site contacts, coworkers, and/or emergency responders regarding access issues, policy questions, and developing situations while maintaining professional conduct.

Minimum Requirements

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
