Security Officer Access Screening

About the role

As a Security Officer Access Screening in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, document visitor activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, platforms, yards, parking areas, and perimeter locations to observe and report unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records related to access activity, incidents, deliveries, and other site-specific security-related procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

Skills required for this role include:

• Customer service skills.
• Ability to respond calmly to emergencies.
• Proficiency in accessing and managing security systems.
• Knowledge of local laws and regulations regarding security and access control.
