About the role
Join Allied Universal at a residential location in Sarasota, FL, where you will monitor access points, verify visitors, and help support a welcoming, secure environment for residents and guests. In this access control role, you may conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
- Monitor and control access points, verify visitor and/or vendor authorization, and document entries and exits according to community guidelines.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to property management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around residential common areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
- Support resident access needs by assisting with gatehouse operations, answering questions, and reporting security-related issues, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
