Security Officer Access Monitor

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, screening entry requests, and supporting security-related protocols at an industrial location.
• Maintain a safe environment by monitoring entrances, gates, and authorized access points, verifying credentials and/or visitor information, and helping to deter unauthorized entry to restricted and operational areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, equipment concerns, and other conditions that may require a security-related response.
• Support vehicle and pedestrian traffic control at entry and exit points, maintain accurate logs and reports, and follow established procedures for deliveries, vendors, and after-hours access.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
