Security Officer Access Gate

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors, and document arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, control areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Support vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow at access points, provide directions to employees, contractors, and/or visitors, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
