Job Description
As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will help manage access control, verify credentials, and support site entry procedures while providing exceptional customer service and communication.
Pre-Employment Requirements (Contractual)
- 1+ Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR
- 2+ Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR
- 3+ Years' Security Experience (C108)
- Valid Driver's License
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and/or emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Maintain accurate access logs, visitor records, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures and regulatory expectations for the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and access control points, with attention to changing conditions across the site.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Candidates must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
