About the role
As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Marietta, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical. In this role you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support a secure environment for personnel and operations. This driving post includes routine patrols, visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and professional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, screening visitors, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
- Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, perimeter areas, and designated facility locations to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
- Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, visitors, and site personnel while documenting incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
