Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Mount Vernon, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. This primarily driving role requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service while helping to deter incidents.

Job Schedule

  • Daytime: Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records in accordance with site-specific procedures; report discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
