Security Officer Access Control

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location as an Access Control professional. In this role, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification practices, and/or visitor management protocols at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, review identification and/or access permissions, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with post orders and client-directed guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors, property contacts, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, offices, common areas, and/or perimeter locations to observe conditions, report unusual activity, and support security-related procedures.
• Document daily activities, access-related events, and/or incident information in required logs and reports, and assist with badge issuance, visitor sign-in, and other front-entry responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
