Security Officer Access Control

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control professional supporting a dynamic tech and media location in Cranberry Twp, PA. In this role, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, assist with visitor access, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. You will deliver customer-focused service while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification steps, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a technology and communications location, checking badges, visitor authorizations, and/or delivery access to help support security-related protocols.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site procedures.
• Maintain visitor logs, access records, and/or incident documentation while communicating clearly with site contacts regarding access requests and security-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, to help identify access issues, unsecured entry points, and/or other unusual conditions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
