Security Officer - Access Control

As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain accurate entry and exit records, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, lobby areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Operate access control systems, visitor management tools, radios, and other assigned equipment; complete clear and timely incident reports and daily activity documentation.

Requirements

• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
