Security Officer Access Control

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to the property.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Communicate with residents, property staff, and/or visitors regarding access requests, deliveries, and community rules in a professional manner.
• Carry out regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter, noting unusual activity and documenting security-related observations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
