Security Officer Access Control

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location in Edmond, OK, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and drivers while supporting smooth facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorization, maintain visitor and vehicle entry records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas of the logistics and distribution location.
• Control access to restricted areas, gates, and facilities in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting the orderly flow of personnel and vehicles.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, access points, and loading areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$16.32 / hour

Schedule

• Position Type: Full Time
• Day shift: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM, Monday through Friday
