Security Officer Access Control

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by following site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points for employees, contractors, and/or authorized visitors, helping to verify credentials, manage visitor logs, and report unusual activity to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including warehouse areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and perimeter access points, with attention to security-related concerns.
• Help to support an orderly flow of foot traffic and vehicle traffic at the location by observing access activity, following post instructions, and reporting policy violations or operational issues.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
