Security Officer Access Control
About the role
Join Allied Universal at a busy retail location where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document relevant activity according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the sales floor, stock areas, loading zones, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
- Support loss prevention and security-related operations by observing activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and communicating with store management and/or local responders as needed.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Background investigation and drug screening as required.
