Security Officer Access Compliance

About the role

As a Security Officer Access Compliance in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and documenting security-related activity. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and help deter incidents through attentive access-control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and team members by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a retail distribution location, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
• Control access to restricted areas, communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
