Job Description
As a Security Officer Access Compliance in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic aero and defense location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support a secure environment through strong communication and customer service.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at an aerospace and defense location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with post instructions.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, restricted areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
- Support vehicle and pedestrian screening processes, maintain accurate access records, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
