Security Officer Access Assurance

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will support a welcoming environment by assisting shoppers and staff, conducting routine patrols, and communicating clearly during incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, checking credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at the location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Monitor doors, gates, loading areas, and/or other designated access points to help support authorized entry, visitor processing, and basic badge or credential verification.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the sales floor, stock areas, parking areas, and perimeter, as assigned, while observing and reporting suspicious, unusual, and/or unauthorized activity.
• Complete required logs, reports, and/or incident documentation related to access activity, deliveries, and security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site policies.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
