About the role

Security Officer positions at Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. support critical facilities and infrastructure, public venues requiring an enhanced presence, and asset protective services.

Responsibilities

• Covers posts such as customer counters, employee entrances, vehicle entrances, guard houses, gates, construction gates, parking lots, perimeters, etc.
• Screens employees (in/out) and personal baggage at pedestrian and vehicle entrances.
• Verifies seal controls on vehicles at gateways (cut and apply seals).
• Verifies identity badges of personnel for clearance, screens vehicles.
• Manages temporary badge processes.
• Conducts roving patrols, on foot or in vehicle, around perimeter fences, gates, buildings, warehouses, storage areas, switchyards, etc.
• Identifies fire hazards, unauthorized activity, malfunctioning utilities, hazardous conditions.
• Maintains surveillance through CCTV.
• Operates X-ray machines.
• Performs additional duties related to security of premises as required.
• May be required to perform emergency duties which require physical exertion such as: standing or walking for an entire shift, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 lbs., and running.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation.
• Physically capable of performing the assigned work.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to meet all applicable licensing, registration, and certification requirements in the state where the officer's assigned facility is located.
• Communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Veteran status.
• Security Guard Registration Card.
