Responsibilities
- Oversight of all security aspects of the daily operation of the Hotel.
- Supervision and training of security personnel.
- Development and implementation of security plans and policies.
- Responding to guest complaints promptly.
- Keeping immediate supervisor informed of all problems or matters requiring their attention.
- Maintaining professional relationships with government and law enforcement partners.
- Preparation and submission of required reports in a timely manner.
- Ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensuring compliance with requisition procedures.
- Being visible on the floor and assisting staff as needed.
- Involvement in and/or conducting departmental and hotel training.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in hotel security or a related field.
- Military or law enforcement experience is preferred but not indispensable.
- Effective communication skills in English and Spanish, both verbally and written.
- Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests.
- Collaboration with all departments to ensure compliance of security protocols.
- Attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented approach to all interactions.
- Attendance at all hotel required meetings and trainings.
- Maintenance of high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing nametags.
- Effectiveness in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Maintaining confidentiality of information.
- Performance of other duties as requested by management.
