Security Intern

About the role

The Security Intern will play a crucial role in enhancing the security monitoring capabilities of Legends Global's IT department. Reporting to the Vice President of Cybersecurity, the intern will work closely with security analysts to develop and document security incident response playbooks and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Identify and onboard log sources into the organization’s SIEM system to enhance monitoring and visibility
• Partner with security analysts to develop and document SOC playbooks for incident response and standard operating procedures
• Create and maintain dashboards to track security metrics, KPIs, and KRIs, supporting data-driven decision making
• Auxiliary with security awareness initiatives, including training coordination, testing efforts, and user engagement

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
• Exposure through coursework, internships, or academic projects related to technology, security, systems engineering, or data analysis is preferred
• Strong interest in enterprise technology, cybersecurity, systems architecture, and applying technical solutions to support business operations

• An analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to break down complex, loosely defined problems
• The ability to present insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working with relational databases
