Security Installation Technician

Comprehensive training will be provided on equipment, installation procedures, programming, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and program residential security systems
- Install and support burglar alarms, CCTV systems, surveillance cameras, DVRs, and access control equipment
- Upgrade and convert legacy security systems to new technology platforms
- Install and service door sensors, window contacts, glass break detectors, smoke detectors, and related devices
- Troubleshoot alarm communication and signal issues
- Test and verify proper system functionality following installation
- Educate customers on how to operate and manage their security equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service during every service call and installation
- Complete required job documentation and paperwork accurately
- Track equipment and materials used for each installation
- Maintain organized vehicle inventory and company equipment
- Ensure high-quality installations while minimizing return visits
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools
- Experience working with wiring, cabling, or low-voltage systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in skilled trades, cabling, wiring, field service, telecommunications, home technology installation, electronics, or customer-facing technical roles
- Comprehensive training on equipment, installation procedures, programming, and troubleshooting

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
